At Betsey’s we know moving
can be a difficult time. Here is some practical advice to
both families and individuals to help make moving and settling
into your new home easier and less stressful.

• Have a yard sale before moving so you don’t
move with too many unnecessary items that
you’ll
need to store
.
• Remember to pack a box of basics that you’ll
need on move-in day (tools, paper products,
household
cleaners, towels, linens,
medicines, etc.)
.
• Pack all important documents and family
records for
safekeeping
.
• Transfer prescriptions, school and
medical records
etc.
.
• Notify post office of change of address and
arrange
to have mail forwarded
.
• Arrange cut-off date for utilities before move
and
have utiliities turned on at new home
.
• Make a checklist of all items/boxes loaded on
the
moving truck, and keep the list handy for
move- in.
