Steve Newsome was born and raised in the Roanoke Rapids/Littleton, NC area. He and his younger brother were raised in a country setting where they roamed the woods and fields, had many animals, and grew their own food. Growing up, Steve and his brother often played football in the cow pasture, with the cows and other distractions that needed to be avoided. However, that still led to them both playing varsity football in high school, and Steve even made all conference during that time.

Steve has many interests including hunting, fishing, and sports. He learned auto mechanics and services his own vehicles. He also was a member of the Warren County Rescue Squad. Steve developed an interest in homebuilding, construction and real estate when he was a young boy helping his father on construction projects. Over time, his skills grew to include plumbing, wiring, heating and air conditioning. Steve is a NC Licensed Contractor and he ran his own construction business since he was in his early 20’s. Steve feels that his experience in these areas prepared him well to help sellers get their property ready for sale. And, he feels it’s also invaluable when assisting his clients who want to purchase a home.
