Marlene was born and raised in Chicago IL. In 1961 she married a local of the Roanoke Valley area. After her husband served in the Navy for six years, she and her husband moved to the Roanoke Valley where her husband grew up. Now a grandmother to six, she enjoys spending time with her three grown daughters and their children. Marlene also enjoys reading, traveling and gardening and she's a cat person, too.
